About this deal

Working with specialist spirits branding agency, Stranger & Stranger, the ‘Social Distillery’ has created something which is the envy of many. They wanted to produce something which depicts the truly stunning scenery found on the island – and what a job they’ve done!

This is the signature gin used to make a Sapphire martinias well as the Sapphire alpine. The two blue martinis use blue curaçao to get that beautiful color, and they're a delight to drink. This gin is distilled in a copper pot still named "Marjorie." The botanical list includes juniper, angelica root, cassia bark, cinnamon, coriander seed, lemon peel, licorice, nutmeg, orange peel, and orris root. It is bottled at a standard 40 percent ABV (80 proof). Our absolutely wonderful Gintern Holly has created her own gin … and the bottle is as fab as she is! In the run up to his PhD and post-doc studies in hematopoiesis (the formation of blood cell components from stem cells), Matt spent a summer at Cambridge University on a Royal Society internship studying bugs, specifically flies, and even more specifically, blue bottle flies. Under the microscope, he found the indigo wings of these household nuisances to shimmer intricate patterns of iridescence unique to the majesty of nature, patterns that people peeved by the pest do not perceive.

28. Land of Saints GIN

Luke Wheadon, who produces Wheadon’s Gin, said it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be involved in a film launch and to be able to showcase a Guernsey product off-island. His gin featured at a press event before the screening of the Potato Peel Pie film and at the after-party. The Forest Gin Bottle, designed by Wade Ceramics who have been creating beautiful designs since 1810, is made of local Staffordshire Porcelain in a bid to use all local materials! We love this ethos, and the beautiful bottle of course!

Unless you never set foot inside a spirits-selling establishment of any kind, you can’t have failed to notice the huge resurgence of gin in recent years. There has been an explosion of small-batch brands onto a market once dominated by the world’s drinks giants – stirring up the category with a range of exciting flavours. Now, the island’s Blue Bottle gin is set to be launched on the US market within weeks – with the distinctive blue bottles already being sold around the world, from Ulan Bator in Mongolia to Nairobi in Kenya as well as across Europe.

Now, do you remember what you saw? You’re likely cringing as you think, “I see school work”, all those meticulous notes of what you observed jotted down for teacher assessment and exam studies. We certainly empathise with you! You will find the gin to be very aromatic and filled with rich flavors, making it a true delight for any gin lover. We here at ILoveGin are such super fans of Italian brand Malfy … we have featured all four of the gins below in our boxes but we just can’t decide which is our favourite! What do you think?
