Can You Freeze a Smoothie for Later? We do not recommend blending the smoothie too far in advance. Smoothies are best consumed immediately. We wanted to use one shopping list interchanging the ingredients as much as possible when putting together these recipes. We came up with 5 smoothies that are all their own flavor, while still using some of the same ingredients. We’ve made a SHOPPING LIST that you can find below, as well as in the notes of the recipe.Step 6: Plastic bags are preferred over glass jars. Here’s how you can freeze glass jars without breaking them, but to be honest you can save a lot of room in the freezer by using plastic bags. Why? My family and I have been drinking smoothies on a daily basis for a long time. Once I mastered the art of a perfect green smoothie, the whole family got on board! banana– you can slice multiple bananas and freeze flat on a tray ahead of time (the riper the better imo)
Prepping all the produce before stuffing the jars makes the process faster in our opinion. Grab a friend or family member and start chopping. A few chopping notes: Cherries gives this smoothie a bright pink color and that delicious cherry flavor. Combined with pineapple and orange, it is super citrusy and sooooo good. This classic sweet smoothie is delicious but has way more nutrition and a lot less sugar than the kind you can buy at the mall! Reusable Silicone Bags– these are a non-branded silicone bag that is much less expensive than other brands. They stand up on their own which makes filling them really easy!

Invest in good tools. Not everyone has the budget to invest, but when you’re ready to, here’s what I recommend: Wide mouth jars work the best as the ingredients are easier to get out when I start blending. There is no worry that the glass will break, as the liquid isn’t added until blending. Prepping Produce
