About this deal

The battery on my bike is a AGM (absorbed glass Matt) sealed lead acid battery. This type of battery isn't listed for the this charger. Is the Oxford Oximiser 900 suitable to use on this type ofbattery? July 30, 2019 Does it mean you can connect it to your bike whilst you are riding it, or just when it is instorage? November 30, 2011 Simple To Connect – Even as a newbie, I was able to connect the product without any difficulty. Once I had accessed the battery in my motorcycle, I clipped on the crocodile clips (positive first!), then attached them to the Oximiser device using the white connector. I then plugged the device into the mains, and it began working instantaneously. If you intend to keep the charger connected long term, the permanent fixture can be attached simply by securely screwing it to the battery. The whole process can be done in under 15 minutes: it couldn’t be easier! My only real niggle is that the mains lead is short, making connection to a battery that’s still in the bike a bit clumsy at times, needing an extension lead. So far, it’s charged every single one, without fuss and in less than a day. The car battery (whose inactivity was one of the reasons I chose the Oximiser 3X) hasn’t needed charging yet – I’ll let you know.

This will be fine - let the battery stand for an hour before charging, and leave the cap off while charging for the firsttime. The problem I suspect with this method is that I have tried and failed to charge a flatted battery using a Brand New optimate. The optimiser was never any use after this. The Oxford Oximiser 3800 is capable of charging batteries from 1.2Ah up to 125Ah making it capable for carapplications. There are several chargers from CTEK in this list, and this CS ONE option is the top dog of the range. It's a smart charger that can repair, maintain, charge and detect bad cells, as well as a host of other features.

Oximiser 900 Essential Battery Management System

The oxford 3x is oxford's most versatile, most powerful, multi purpose battery maintenance product. It offers not one ... I don't really want to try push some juice into it with the other battery, as I don't fancy trying to bump start the ZX7R at 8am tomorrow in case of failure/battery death. A professional switch mode charger designed to automatically maintain, optimise and prolong the life of a 12-volt battery. It can be left permanently connected to provide guaranteed long-term battery care. Heavily discharged batteries as low as 4.1V can be charged if the battery is not damaged. Absorption Charge - Lowers the charge rate & gives a topping charge to ensure the battery is charged to 100% The OXIMISER 601 is a modern charger designed to charge, optimise and prolong the life of a 12V ...

It's almost like sometimes it doesn't even see the battery, sometimes the charger does nothing when connected to it. It has a 6a output, which gives it a decent amount of punch when it comes to topping up low batteries in a pinch. My bike wouldn't start after a month of autumn inactivity, but a 30-minute top-up from the Ring charger had it firing on the button again. Lesson learned - just leave it plugged in. As above having issues with an Oxford charger. The battery in the zx10r hasn't been used in maybe 6 weeks, so it was too low to start the bike. Multimeter still said 11v left in it. The suggestion was to deep discharge the fooked unit by attaching a car headlamp to it and let it run down. Automatically applies an appropriate charge if voltage drops outside acceptable limits to ensure the battery voltage and condition remains perfectI expect the charger is fully working, but if the battery was dud then the charger should tell me so...

Ok, that's a bit flippant because, in addition to those scant requirements, I also want it to be wall mounted, with a hard connection to my battery, so I don't have to faff about with crocodile clips. If this is hooked up to the mains and battery whilst still hooked to the bike with the O connector cables, can it be used to jump start thebike? January 7, 2020 Answer Yes, there is a simple test that can be carried out should one grip fail to heat. Firstly, take the connector from the working grip and swap on to the grip that is not heating. Should the grip now heat up, this will tell you that the fault lies with the connection to the grip rather than the grip itself. AnswerThe Oximiser 3X can be used on lithium batteries, however all our other chargers have not been tested to be used on lithium batteries. If the battery is deeply discharged to approximately 4.1 Volts, the Oximiser 900 will charge at up to 900mA/hr until it reaches 11.8 Volts and the bulk charge mode (The Oximiser 900 will otherwise apply a gentle charge up-to 200mA/h to ensure the battery is brought up to a fullcharge). Maintain Mode - Automatically applies an appropriate charge if voltage drops outside acceptable limits to ensure the battery voltage and condition remains perfect

Optimisers can not always revive a flat battery as this will depend on how much it has already been discharged.( Heavily discharged batteries as low as 4.1 V can be charged if the battery is not damaged. From the instruction manual: Use this charger for charging a LEAD-ACID battery type only (VRLA, GEL, AGM, MF). It is suitable for charging batteries

So, I need a charger that I can swap between bikes to leave running for 48 hours to charge ’em up and then swap to another of the five bikes in our shed. Oh, and because we both work mostly from home now, I also need something that can top-up the car battery too, because that sits mostly outside in all weathers. Knowing what the Oximiser 3X is doing in each cycle allows me to now use it properly and leave it connected for long enough to go through the full cycles; I find it simple to understand what’s going on and what state my batteries are in. It’s much easier to understand than my old Optimate III because the display tells you the voltage, charge rate and whether the battery is strong or weak. Oximiser 900 can be left permanently connected to provide guaranteed long term battery care. Suitable for all 12V ... And this one from CTEK is superbly clever. Not only does it do everything you'd expect: charging, recovering, conditioning and maintaining whatever vehicle battery you connect it to (and yes, it does them all, from Lead Acid to Lithium-ion in all wet, AGM, Gel and other forms) – it does it without any programming from you. The Oximiser 3X is Oxford's most versatile, most powerful, multi-purpose maintenance product. It offers not one, but THREE automated charging programs for differing battery sizes - perfect for bikes, cars and even leisure batteries! So, if you have multiple toys in your garage, it's the only battery optimiser you are ever likely to need.
