About this deal

My LO was never the best sleeper & was still waking up three/four times a night up until last month. People kept telling me to try her on water instead of milk during the night, but after 10 minutes of fussing, I would just cave out of tiredness/feeling bad! According to Lucy, 'In general, encouraging better sleep is so much more than a specific approach and whilst some are of course better and more suitable than others, laying a fertile ground for the implementation of a sleep learning exercise is much more significant, laying the groundwork for the approach that you select to be effective.' Adult sleep recommendations are between seven to nine hours. For children, I rely on the National Sleep Foundation’s (NSF) current guidelines, which are derived from the opinion of 18 international sleep researchers after they reviewed findings from 312 articles. This indicates sleep values between 11 to 12 hours overnight with naps decreasing as the child gets older. Become as informed as you can be - then begin to lay a solid foundation - discover your child’s language for sleep - and attempt naps by day before they become overtired. I am a trained, certified and insured sleep consultant. I have completed extensive training and education and undergo continuing professional development to stay up to date with recent research and development in the field of sleep. I have completed the Gentle Sleep Consultation Program (USA), additionally, I have certification in Child Sleep Consultancy accredited by the OCN (UK) and have attended the Naturally Nurturing Sleep Clinic, (UK). Furthermore, I have under-taken specific training and certification to help families of children aged 4 to 5 months, gently foster and shape healthy sleep habits. I am also a Certified Happiest Baby, New Parent Educator, specialising in teaching techniques to calm crying and help newborn babies to sleep longer. I hold certification in Post Natal Depression accredited by OCN (UK). Further current studies H.Dip in Parent Mentoring and Relationship studies (UCC).

I don't want to confuse him so that he can be fed sometimes and not others but I also don't want to feed him unnecessarily because how things are right now is not good for any of us.There’s no one way to sleep train, but many parents find that one or a mix of the following sleep training methods works for their families: Cry it out (CIO) Those are questions more parents are daring to ask out loud and, it seems, are willing to pay to have answered – judging by the growth of paediatric sleep consultants in Ireland over the past decade. Where once parents may have suffered in silence, or muddled through with family support, the more isolated and pressurised, dual-earning nature of modern family life means looking for professional help has become a necessity for some. Our first meeting took place over Zoom and after reading the 'Client History Review' I had sent through ahead of it, Lucy seemed very confident that we could solve all our problems in four weeks. I was delighted to hear her encouraging words but also a tiny bit doubtful as my son seemed to be very stubborn (I had tried other methods I had found on Google… and nothing worked).

hopefully if he learns to soothe himself and get himself through those sleep cycles, if he wakes we'll know it genuinely is for hunger! I don't know if I'm being too optimistic here though! For Quinn, the most important element of a good bedtime routine is that it happens at the same time every night. “Babies rely on following our cues and signals to know what is happening and what to expect,” she continues. “By establishing a strong bedtime routine, babies know that sleep is coming and their bodies begin to relax and wind down. Any feeds should happen at least 30 minutes before bedtime.” My DS is about to turn 6 months and we've decided that we're going to try Lucy Wolfe stay and support as we are not coping with the night wakings... as I'm writing this we are on our 9th wake up of the night and it is only 3.30am!
