About this deal

The latter two options are identical to their Genestealer equivalents with the exception of having one less attack, while the Bonesword and Boneswords have 4/6 damage and Lethal 5+ with the Bonesword providing one less attack than the duel option. If you’re looking to play Kill Team with anything other than the Kommandos and Veteran Guardsmen in the boxed set this is the book you need. These aren’t digested entries to save space – each team includes both their regular game rules and their unique Spec Ops content, so you won’t need any other book** to play a complete narrative campaign with them. The Arc Rifle can’t supercharge like the Caliver but it’s got 4 shots at AP1 with Stun and a damage profile of 4/5.

GA– Group Activation– As per a July 26 GW comment on the official 40k Facebook page, this refers to how many models are activated at a time.Marines get two pages of equipment instead of the one that most factions get, but many of the items are locked to specific operatives, so your options in any one game are pretty limited. With just a single team Grey Knights aren’t exactly overburdened with options, but what’s here provides a flexible team that should be a lot of fun to play. The first Kill Team was a small section in the 4th Edition of the main Warhammer 40,000 game in 2004.

We’ve looked at how you can quickly and easily put together a finely balanced kill team in the new system, and the Compendium is packed with everything you need to do just that. The first, three warriors leading either a Genestealer or Swarm team, is the more balanced of the two options. Tyranids combine the simplicity of Necrons with some of the best ploys, equipment, and raw stats available, making them one of the better compendium teams. The Tempestus Scions are tougher than their standard guardsmen brothers, sporting +1 wound and a 4+ save, and their hot-shot lasguns hit on 3+ instead of 4+. The Genestealer and Swarm Team will provide the largest Kill Team available to Hive Fleets but it’s also the weakest. The Tyranid Warriors come in teams of three, Genestealers teams of five, and Tyranid Swarms teams of eight, with a Group Activation of 2. Of course, every faction has a variety of worthy operatives to choose from with their own skills, equipment, and specialisations. These, and some of your equipment choices (such as the Rosarius to give your Leader a 4+ invulnerable save, or the Phial of Restoration to allow an operative to heal 2d3 wounds once per game) will keep your Ecclesiarchy operatives on the table a lot longer than their statlines suggest, mirroring their toughness in 40k. While the miniatures from the previous editions, along with the Warhammer 40,000 miniature range are still useable in Kill Team 2021, also known as KT21 or Kill Team 2nd Editon, the rules and supplements are not, as Kill Team has a brand new reworked ruleset. Kill team operatives are willing to risk life and limb on shadowy missions against elite foes, but even they fear the idea of venturing into a space hulk.
