About this deal

INSPIRED BY HAWKEYE ON DISNEY PLUS: This Marvel’s Hawkeye figure is inspired by the character’s appearance in Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye on Disney Plus! It can be very complicated and technical in the way that it digests that information and looks ahead to where the ball will have travelled. The Geological Survey of Ireland therefore turned to airborne remote sensing to perform bathymetric mapping of Ireland’s most critical shallow-water zones. The figures will release in 2022, though it isn't currently known whether they'll be in a wave or not. With the technology in place, the third umpire can use Hawk-Eye to make confident decisions regarding LBW appeals.

Normal operating procedures were used for mapping sections of the bays where water depth exceeded 1m. The surface and the condition of the ball are among the many points that need to be considered when judging bounce.

In general, the ball tracking technology that is currently used is reliable but Hawk-Eye is not without its faults. The important law here states that a batter cannot be given out LBW if the ball strikes them outside the line of off stump. Depicting both heroes in their suits, each figure has likenesses of Renner and Steinfeld, with the costume using Hasbro's pinless joint technology to disguise points of articulation. We know from our understanding of the LBW law that a batsman cannot be given out if the ball has pitched outside leg stump. The three bays assigned to Blom Aerofilms in 2008 - Donegal, Sligo and Greatmans (Figure 1, map top of this page) - represent some of the most difficult bathymetric mapping conditions found in Northern Europe.

With over 80 years of entertainment history, Marvel has become a cornerstone of fan collections around the world. It’s become one of the most important pieces of technology in cricket but what, exactly, is Hawk-Eye and how does it work? However, because the mud-flats of Donegal and Sligo (Figure 4) contain long stretches of muddy water averaging only 1m in depth at high tide, the team tried a new approach. Along with its growing importance, seabed mapping has demanded the implementation of faster, safer and more cost-effective survey technologies. Hasbro has released renders for a new Marvel Legends Clint Barton figure based on Disney+'s Hawkeye, giving fans their best glimpse at his new outfit. In estuaries such as Greatmans, however, a rock just below the surface can create a similar signature.

During flight planning, the decision was made to deal with the challenges of the broad mud-flats in Donegal and Sligo (Figure 3) in the acquisition phase, while the rocky bottom of Greatmans Bay would be handled in the processing. Will it be going on to hit the stumps or has it passed through without obstruction on its way to the wicket keeper? Some of our partners may process your data as a part of their legitimate business interest without asking for consent. Many onshore mapping projects no longer end at the water's edge due to the inherent interaction of land and sea environments. While traditional terrestrial Lidar systems have met limited success in subsurface marine mapping, the Hawk Eye II offers an entirely different design with three sensors - two lasers and one digital camera - acquiring data simultaneously. The bathymetric Lidar transmits a pulse, split 75% in the green (532nm) portion of the spectrum and 25% at the infrared wavelength (Figure 2), to obtain data from the water's surface and the seabed. Blom Aerofilms completed the bathymetric Lidar acquisition over the three project areas, which totalled 200km 2, in less than 40 flight hours during a 10-day period in the spring of 2008.Indian players seemed shocked by the decision and it’s also claimed that umpire Marais Erasmus said ‘that is impossible’ when the footage was shown.
