Well known and deservedly popular early apple, which in our experience is very reliable and recommended for Cumbria and similar climates.

About Wadworth: Wadworth is an independent family brewer and regional pub operator, very proud of its West Country roots. They were small bushes, carefully tended, horribly thorny, but covered in glowing red fruit the size of plums, nothing like the old, tiny, green, hard sour lumps of my childhood memories.

Our restaurant has recently undergone a full refurbishment, and now offers a modern, cozy and comfortable environment for you to come and enjoy our fine Indian dining experience. Very Hot] This one will make your taste buds do the rain dance, concoction of different chillies, crushed dried chillies and green chillies fused together to create a fiery taste blend with fresh garlic, tomatoes and lashings of coriander a curry that will explode in your mouth. Like currants, they thrive in high latitudes and cold arctic climates – I know they grow very well in northern Scotland – which would suggest they will do better the further south you go in New Zealand .

Considering the age range of our group was between 9 - 81yrs finding a restaurant that can cover everyone’s needs was brilliant. Pax: dark red when fully ripe, large and sweet berries but requires pruning to thin out and shape its vigorous, spreading nature, virtually spineless at maturity. Famous as being Britain's most Northerly variety, this apple was raised near Coul, in Ross, in the early 19th century. She added: “Tesco recognises the importance of British agriculture and the responsibility we have in terms of supporting British farmers, growers and suppliers in safeguarding the future of the food industry. Along with other thorny things like totara and gorse, cattle will avoid them unless fed hard, but horses or goats will not blink at the odd spine, so you do need to protect them.Known to do well in Northern gardens, an attractive apple (as the name suggests), red/orange over yellow. That knowledge sharing will be critical, and we hope that this group of learners will go on to continue disseminating what they gain here even further through the industry. The Anarkali Indian Restaurant is a well-established restaurant based on Roundhill Road, in Haslingden with beautiful over-looking countryside views.

If well-fed, those green bullets do indeed swell and ripen to red, orange, or even purple berries, bursting with tart (but not sour), ripe goodness in summer. It was a really lovely atmosphere too, they had a number of settings so tables weren't piled in next to each other, it was really well planned. After telling us to just get in our cars and leave and swearing at us at the bar we walked out halfway through our Christmas meal. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout, with water marks and a few small nicks along text block edge. Wadworth has created original beers at its brewery in Devizes, Wiltshire since 1875 and is one of the few remaining family brewers to deliver to the local area using shire horses.Their bushes are above waist height, planted into the ground, and mulched with sphagnum moss for weed suppression and moisture retention. Thanks to Rossendale Online and the Farmers Glory for the prize of lunch for two in the recent competition. The photo below shows these really sweet ‘black’ gooseberries, another successful lifestyle orcharding experiment at my friend Rob Warman’s place.
