About this deal

The Bestigors kit lets you build 10 Bestigors with Despoiler Axes. There’s really only that 1 option (as well as a Leader, of course), b ut if you want your warband to be more elite and hit hard, you can’t go wrong with these guys.

Both the Ungors, Bestigors and Great Bray-Shaman are also part of the Start Collecting!: Beasts of Chaos box, so if you’re planning on branching out into the tabletop wargame as well, that’s a great way to get your Warcry roster filled. Guided by the Astral Compass(Triple, Sanson):each Farstrider within range from the leader can perform a bonus move action. All members of this Bladeborn warband are able to perform a bonus move after the Leader activates Guided by the Astral Compass (for a Triple) while within 6″ of him. The Core Set also comes with all the dice and token sets you’ll need. Objective hexes are now double-sided and certain card mechanics will see the objective hexes flip to being lethal hexes mid-game. Players also now have the ability to place a free lethal hex anywhere they like during set-up. Gikkit and Shank have the same identical profile of a Stab-grot (as they are grots) but for some reason they are also minions, meaning they can be bossed around by Krookgrin and Gikkit is a Warrior, giving him access to the Orruk abilities, while Shank has the runemark that allows the use of Sneaky Snares, the same as Torka, to prevent an enemy move or disengage.

Draknar is also a beefed up Bestigor, with more damage (2/5) and Wounds (18). He shares also the same “damage after movement” ability but is quite more expensive. Heroic Guard(Double, all Steelheart’s Champions):subtract 1 from damage received by every hit and critical hit.Ylthari is a Thornwych, a profile not existing in Warcry before. The closest would be a Branchwych, with which she shares both weapon profiles but her movement is 4″ instead of 6″. She has her own ability, The Reaping, that allows to damage any enemy within 6″ on a 2+. If you have a Quad high enough you can do some serious damage.

Grinkrak’s Looncourt is a Gloomspite Gitz Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 7, whose rules are available in White Dwarf 485. The Bullgors kit lets you build 3 Bullgors with either Bullgor Axes or a Bullgor Great Axe, as well as Leader versions of both weapon loadouts. The foam tray has the dimensions: 275 mm x 172 mm x 50 mm total height (40 mm usable height + 10 mm foam base) They have access to two new abilities (on top of the traditional Gloomspite ones): Snarlfang’s Jaws gives them a chance to do up to 6 damage to an enemy engaged (on a 6 depending on the ability’s value), while Ferocious Ponce guarantees that damage at the end of a move phase, but also depends on the ability’s value meaning it seems a bit overpriced as a Quad.

Grashrak’s Despoilers

Stormsire’s Cursebreakers are a Stormcast Eternals Sacrosanct Chamber Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 2. As many of you know, I’m a veteran Warhammer Underworlds player with many wins under my belt. A great part of the game is that you don’t have to play with painted miniatures, as every model is push fit and made of coloured plastic specific to that warband. I’ve played with unpainted and painted warbands, but I wanted to push myself and set a better example for everyone by only playing with painted warbands.

Introduced in the new season of Warcry, Reactions are things that can be done in certain circumstances, but always during the enemy turn. They cost one action, so they can be used only by fighters that have not activated yet or are waiting. There are 3 universal reactions and one specific to each warband:

Skaeth’s Wild Hunt

Grashrak is a Great Bray-Shaman – able to grant unnatural speed to his kin and blast his foes with the seething energy of pure Chaos. Though his Despoilers fight as a separate unit, if they stay close to Grashrak they will throw themselves in front of deadly blows aimed for their master. The Despoilers fight all the harder when they strike deep into your opponent’s territory, causing havoc and wreaking destruction behind enemy lines. On top of this, the Centigor models are a finecast resin kit, which is an unreliable material that many hobbyists will be unfamiliar with. Binar is a tough Mortek (costing the double) combining the 2″ range of his halberd (Strength 4 for 2/4 damage) with the resistance of his shield (Toughness 5 with 22 wounds). His shield also allows him to Form Shieldwall increasing further his Toughness and that of his comrades.
