About this deal

His gaze fell upon a modest pouch resting among the wardrobe’s contents. Despite its humble appearance - weathered leather with traces of faded embroidery - the small bag held a magical charm. It was enchanted to carry an array of items, defying the limitations suggested by its small stature. An eerie silence hung over the scene, a stark contrast to the cacophony that had previously filled the square. Considering the sheer number of crows huddled around, it was an unsettling quiet. Each bird was silent, their beady eyes fixed on Tommy with an unnerving intensity. He had a nagging suspicion that this surreal silence would abruptly break if he made a move to leave. Phil’s smile widened, but a predatory glint in his eyes turned his friendly grin into something sharper, more cunning. “Tommy...” He practically purred the name, a note of possessiveness creeping into his tone. It involved a bit of nudging and poking around, something Tommy wasn’t exactly thrilled about, but soon enough, the goddess flashed him a radiant smile. Her eyes sparkled with satisfaction.

Later Samantha asks Frannie why she helped Trevor, and Frannie doesn't know. Samantha then admits that she was wrong about Jesus Boy and says she doesn't know what to believe in anymore. Frannie tries to comfort Samantha and says "Maybe there's a little bit of Jesus inside of all of us. Maybe Jesus is just that something good or something sad or something ... something that makes us do stuff like help Trevor up even when he is cursing us out. Or maybe ... maybe Jesus is just that thing you had when the Jesus Boy got here, Samantha. Maybe Jesus is the hope that you were feeling" (p.109). Grandma: Frannie’s and Sean's grandmother, who is very religious. Even though she would hit you with a bible if you said something she didn't like. I couldn't bear to watch you freezing out here, so Dom and I asked if it was possible to make some chocolate for everyone…" She cooed, booping his red nose. His other hand was resting again on the bump, hidden inside Ronnie's coat, and she peppered his cold, red cheeks with kisses, ignoring all the people around them, quietly nestled in their own bubble.

Phil gazed at his new son, his mind a whirlwind of confusion and distress. How could he rectify this misunderstanding when he didn’t know where he had faltered? His silence seemed to amplify Tommy’s anxiety. The boy was physically recoiling now, his eyes darting around nervously. Phil felt a pang of despair. What could he say to reassure his child? When the hesitant, bell-like notes of Tommy’s laughter rang through the air, Phil had to consciously restrain his grin from widening too much, his heart fluttering like a bird taking flight for the first time. Things were progressing better than he had dared to dream. Soon, Tommy would be safely- She had stumbled upon Tommy during his haphazard scramble up the swaying rope ladder as he attempted to conceal himself before the patrolling guards came into view. Undeterred by his frantic actions, she had followed him up the ladder and had been peppering him with questions ever since. Kristin let out a light, melodic laugh, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Absolutely. Are you ready?”

Just the last take, folks. As soon as Freddie stops retching around the garden." The director shook his head while a paramedic was helping the singer with a glass of water.

Looking at Tommy, the child gave a firm nod. “I’m Clementine, but my friends just call me Clem. What’s your name?” Freddie, are you nuts?" John whimpered, eager to wrap himself in a warm blanket and go home. On the other hand, Brian seemed enthusiastic at the idea, also because it was his song. The landscape remained unchanged - a picturesque scene of snow-covered cottages and cobblestone roads. Not exactly helpful. Tommy’s wings, which had momentarily calmed down while he reassessed his surroundings, twitched again, mirroring his growing frustration. Yet, it was Tommy who shattered the tense silence. As the boy began to speak again, words tumbling out in a frantic cascade, it did nothing to assuage Phil’s mounting concern. Something had happened to Tommy, something which had twisted his perception of a stranger’s kindness into a sinister plot of abduction. Forget about needing ID. Tommy should have asked for a heavier coat. He was entirely unprepared for the blanket of snow that stretched as far as his eyes could see. Frankly, he wasn’t dressed appropriately for even the slightest dusting of snow. After all, he was still sporting the clothes he had died in, which was quite disturbing. His outfit, a white t-shirt with red sleeves, blue jeans, and running shoes, was far from suitable for winter weather.

Tired of being overlooked by Tommy, the crow hopped over to the stranger. The man’s sleeves, a rich emerald green edged with golden trim, lightly swept the surface of the worn wooden table as he extended his hand towards the bird. Sunlight glinted off his emerald rings, scattering shards of verdant light across the tabletop. Wilbur. Wil!” Phil interjected, cutting off his eldest mid-sentence. “Please. I need you to find something warm. A coat, a cloak... anything. You’re closest in size to him.” He repeated his request for the third time in as many minutes. My friend came here to play hide and seek! He’s a bit like you. Same blonde hair and blue eyes, but his wings are much prettier,” the girl announced with unfiltered honesty. You're always so sweet, love, thank you." John melted, finally feeling her warmth filling his numb limbs and reaching his heart. On Friday, I saw Philip Ridley’s new play, Feathers in the Snow, at the Southwark Playhouse. Wow. It stars off like one of Grimms’ fairy tales, with a young woman, Lena, having to choose between two lovers, the muscular Jared and the imaginative Stefan. Her choice of brawn over brain sparks off a series of events in which their daughter, Shylyla, is traumatised, and an epic quest to find a cure ensues. The play then morphs excitingly into an almost Biblical account of the creation of a new religion and a huge criticism of war, an activity so attractive to young men yet so devastating to everyone else. The canvas is massive, yet the storytelling is brilliantly succinct. Covering 500 years, the piece dashes around the globe and shows the effects of thermonuclear war. But the tone is light, with charming narrators and humorous moments in an imaginative tale that involves a magical Blazerbird, a lazy talking leopard, a greedy king, a tsunami, a raft, a sea witch and two historians who can’t agree. As directed by David Mercatali, and featuring a large company of young actors, this is a wonderfully freewheeling and, by the end, moving account of our longing for love and home. Cynics might decry its open-hearted idealism, or its appealing songs, but I think that this is a great demonstration that Ridley, one of our best playwrights, is not afraid to write the kind of sci-fi story that appeals to both adults and youngsters. And there are lovely performances by Deeivya Meir as Shylyla, Nelly Harker as Lena and the sea witch, and Craig Vye as Jared.

Zeitgeist

To his surprise, the man burst into laughter. His shoulder-length blond hair swayed gently with his movements. We'll all get home soon and cuddle with your brother, I promise!" The bassist brushed his now warm hand on Ronnie's tummy, talking to the baby, and gave Veronica a soft kiss. He really couldn't wait to be alone with his family, the warmth of their house and their love filling his chest and making him feel whole, as always. Tommy could be reading too much into it. He wasn’t familiar with the law enforcement procedures of this world or even this city. Maybe he was misinterpreting a regular patrol schedule.
