About this deal

hours after the initial application, the pink dewy rose dries down to a classic rose with warm undercurrents. The berry notes are gone. At this point, although not unique, this rose scent is still nice. It remains like this for two more hours until the big let-down. This is when the rose turns all musty and unpleasant. I got a strong musk note that, while probably being synthetic, does carry a bit of an animalic component which I don't love. This is where the fragrance remains until after six hours, the scent is gone without a trace. Freedom, lightness and femininity: these are the principles on which Chloé was founded in Paris more than 60 years ago. Today Chloé’s vision of romantic, effortless chic lives in ready-to-wear, accessories, and fragrances. Chloe is such a nice house that I never paid the attention it deserved. Maybe there are too many editions like EDP, EDT, EDT (new), Rose (limited edition), thank God Roses de Chloe will be with us forever, Love story and it goes on... Even if rose tangerine reminds me a little of the edT from 2009, the fragrance has a completely independent temperament, with more sweetness than its predecessor, which was rather powdery, which rose tangerime does not offer at all.

I have a love/hate relationship with the original Chloe EDP. I could never understand the hype as it always smelt fizzy and sharp on my skin, a little like undiluted laundry powder. However during a recent trip to Thailand I wore a sample of the original Chloe for two consecutive days and surprisingly enjoyed the way Chloe smelt in a humid climate. Unfortunately upon returning to Australia (where we experience a dry heat), Chloe had lost much of its rosy, clean charm. I decided to test Chloe's flankers to see if they had anything in common with the scent I so dearly loved overseas. Roses de Chloe was first on my list of flankers to try. The rose in the fragrances of Chloé is dosed for my feeling just right, because it is light, feminine and sensual and always gives its wearer a touch of cool romance.

I would not compare to Sisley Izia or Paul Smith Rose as Izia is much soapier, dryer and less sweet/soft and Paul Smith is much sharper and more tart. Izia is a very different kind of fragrance as Sisley has a very distinct sort of style and Paul Smith is a very linear sort of rose. When I first tried this a couple of years ago, I didn't like it. I think I was too into Chloe and expecting a different type of scent with this all together. While Chloe has roses, and was tempered with other notes, this has full-on heady roses straight from the get go that I wasn't expecting. So, I put the sample aside. For me and for a strange reason, although I thought I had found my favorite edition, when I smelled of Roses de Chloe I fell in love. Rose tone and love? It's like a miracle for my tastes. The bottle with the ribbon is simple, the color of juice is attractive. His initial high spirits sank considerably, and he offered me, I may but read the Bedienungsanleitunng - I'm but the reader in this household .This is the most natural rose you could ever smell, according to me. Absolutely lovely. I have the original Chloe too, and love that one as well. If I would have to choose between the two, I couldn’t... but the original is more of a city rose for me, from a florist shop, given by your admirer, or your man. Enjoying city summer. But this one: it is more of an oldfashioned and softly intensive garden rose. Fresh in the morning, when you go out in the dewy grass. I usually pass over rose fragrances but I often spend time googling whims like "Hogwarts house perfumes", and I'll let you guess which one of those two wound me up here. This one was suggested by a Fragrantica member for Ginny: pretty French roses for the feisty tomboy? The graceful but heavy glass bottle with its lovely warm-deep-pink cloth ribbon drew me in as well. A play of contrasts; something interesting must be going on here. Thank you, my Fragrantica friends... The first hour or two, this one is pretty moderate while still being very noticeable. Projects from the skin in the 4-6 foot range for that duration. Then, it’ll move into the 1-3 foot range for the rest of the way. Chloé is launching the Eau de Toilette edition of their Chloé Signature perfume called Chloé Rose Tangerine. Chloé Rose Tangerine is due out in summer 2020 and promises a bolder and more energetic character in the reinterpretation of the modern classic from the house.

A little bit of citrus is mixed in, but just enough to keep this smelling perfectly like fresh wet roses. Nothing at all like Tea Rose from Perfumer's Workshop (sorry!) that the sour citrus slaps you like a lemon peel across the face. I don't wear citrus well at all so that's why I couldn't wear that one well. Now almost an hour has gone by and this is more palatable to my nose. But that is mainly because the scent is disappearing. It hasn't morphed into anything more on me, just faded quite a bit. I am betting that within the hour, it will be *poof*--all gone. I own Solinotes Rose and I would rather wear that than this one. This is a "dislike" for me as the rose is just too "there" to be enjoyable. My husband says "It isn't horrible but you have a lot of other perfumes that are nicer and not as harsh." Then he sneezed. I wore Noir Extreme last night and he loved that one (for frame of reference).

Roses de Chloé is an unisex fragrance leaning in the feminine direction. I find it appropriate for many age-groups, although compared with the classic Chloé EdP it feel approximately 10 years younger and is best worn by people from their 20s to their late 40s. Wow, what a beautiful scent! I absolutely love roses, so I decided to give this a chance. I've never tried Chloe EDP, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm in love with this. HOWEVER! I REALLY REALLY enjoy this Chloe. I was at the drugstore a year ago and sampled this out of curiosity as I was purchasing the other Chloe for my mother as a present. On the test strip this was very linear - rose and musk. I sprayed it on my wrist thinking nothing of it. It bloomed into something quite beautiful. The musky rose still very prominent but now with undercurrents of jammy fruits, cedar, warm woods, a touch of amber and magnolia. Surprisingly, all notes that I actually enjoy when done in a minimal style (spare blasts of magnolia as I've recently learned to love the scent of this flower). I find this fragrance pleasantly balanced and well mixed. It leaves a soft and romantic drydown which reminds me of the virgin suicides (movie) for some reason. Ruža potom do kompozície vnáša čistotu a delikátnosť. Sladko drevitý céder spolu s mäkkými tónmi bielej ambry všetko uzatvárajú a vôňu príjemne zaguľacujú.
