You may be on the fence and asking yourself the question of whether or not you actually need a designated meat cutter or whether are decent fishing knife would suffice? To really show off the fact that this product is one of the best meat cutters for fishing, MAP has even produced a carry case that allows you to keep the cutter and all the spare blades neatly together. A really handy case for the MAP meat cutter It’s actually made of aluminium and is powder-coated which is a great material for longevity and robustness. If you want a meat cutter for use when you are out fishing, you have a choice of three, and to be absolutely honest they all appear to be the same item, so choose the one that costs the least! This is because when catapulting out luncheon meat, you will achieve consistency and accuracy when all the pieces of meat are the same size.

The Tilley meat cutter is another popular option amongst anglers that can do just as good a job as the MAP meat cutter. There is a handy collection tray which is a really nice touch on this cutter as it really helps to keep things neat and tidy when getting the luncheon meat out of the cutter and into your bait box. If you are fishing with a big lump of meat as a carp bait with a few freebies around it, then, no you won’t need one. I found that it is better to leave it at home and prepare luncheon meat for the session in advance rather than on the bank.It does however offer the advantage of taking up next to no room and is a lot cheaper than the premium models. Features & Specifications Once again, surprisingly similar to those above, and with the simple plunger type of action for cutting the meat, this one is also made from strong, durable plastic and is easy to use. It comes with one set of cutting blades but they are interchangeable with others you can buy, so you have a choice of 4, 6 or 8mm cutting sizes. It comes with the end cap, and is also supplied with a bait collection tray. It can also be used in the dishwasher. There’s little difference in these when you look closely, and the price of this one is bang on target. The following 5 meat cutters have been tried and tested to cut or slice a slab of luncheon meat with ease. The suggestions offer different designs and budgets so there should be an option for everyone. #1. MAP Meat Cutter This meat cutter includes a sliding baitchute which is completely free standing, eliminating the need to precariously balance the blades over the top of the bait box. An end cap can be placed over the end of the box to catch the meat as you cut, ensuring you don’t loose meat all over the floor, and this cap can also be used to store the blades when not in use. If you are looking at using luncheon meat in fishing situations where you are coarse fishing and loose feeding constantly then, yes you should invest in a decent meat cutter.

This isn’t the only innovation at play with the MAP Meat Cutter. Each blade size also comes with its own innovatively designed plunger handle. This ensures that you can be confident that you have perfectly cut through your meat each time. Both this plunger and the frame of the meat cutter has been constructed from sturdy and durable ABS plastic, which doesn’t bend and flex under pressure in the way that other meat cutters can. Hello,

This is fine it’s just sometimes when fishing I may need to react to a specific situation and having an unopened tin of luncheon meat and a meat cutter is less wasteful than preparing some in advance that I may not use.
