As a series of woodland animals begin to argue with the mouse, its claims of tigerhood grow more and more outlandish (and more humorous).This book had me at the beginning - a small mouse is so confident that he is a tiger he stands strong in his convictions even when other animals confront him and point out the differences between the mouse and a tiger. Karl: I'm currently working on a ship-shaped chapter book idea (and a couple more ideas for Mouse to explore! When a real tiger turns up, can the persuasive and fearless little rodent manage to persuade the tiger that he is a mouse! And how you feel can fit a time and a mood and a place – it can change… make it work for you when you need it.

But there are always folks out there who are so confident and sure of themselves that even the truth doesn't sway them from their beliefs.

I don't remember much about it other than the cover, sadly, but it's stuck with me all these years and always forms the answer to this question! I’m writing lots more at the moment – in my experience picture books tend to take about 2 years to publish after being contracted so I’ve got 2022 in mind now and am guessing what the trend might be then. We can see all of the animals individually and how they feel when the mouse says that he is a tiger.
