There is not a huge difference in noise levels for settings 2 and 3 – which were both quite audible. The third, the actual top of the control panel was marked but I am assuming the plastic sheet can be removed and is just additional protection whilst in transit.

I only leave it on when I'm in the house, so probably about 5 hours during the day and all throughout the night, and that seems to help.
