About this deal

When setting the clock, the face shows a cool relaxing moon face with a series of stars that disappear until the clock is ready to tell the child they may get up. We passed the phase of having to sleep on the floor, passed the stage of wanting to kill Mr Sun (as it was another thing to throw during bedtime filled tantrums! The Gro-clock also comes with a beautifully illustrated book which helps to encourage children to stay in bed longer, which means more sleep for them and more sleep for you! We have been looking for a suitable light as most are too bright to be left on all night or have a cut-out time of around 20 minutes , which is not enough.

Spending the time reading the book together is really nice and she already knows most of the words and finishes off the sentences. When I consulted the information book I discovered that it had a function on the clock to combat this in the form of a lock so little fingers can’t mess around with it. I have never been a morning person and if at the age of 30 I’m still not a morning person then I’m pretty sure I never will be.For kids to understand the Gro Clock, they have to understand that at night, the sun goes away, the stars come out, and that's when we sleep. Due to popular request, this 2010 version of the Gro-Clock has a new feature allowing parents to choose whether or not to display the digital clock during the usual ‘stars to sun’ countdown. Top tip : If your child is used to waking at 6am, don’t set the clock for 8am and expect them to suddenly stay in bed for an extra 2 hours.
