About this deal

I loved getting the flashback glimpses from Slammed, but in a whole new light from Will's perspective. I will repeat what I’ve read from a friend’s review…that Colleen Hoover has very likely created the perfect man! However, a new home means new neighbours… and Layken's new neighbour is the very attractive Will Cooper.

What I took away from this book is that Slammed isn't Will and Lake and the reasons that I fell head over heels about the book wasn't solely because of them. This is probably the most un-Colleen Hoover book I've read (and I've read a few that try to emulate her) and save for the first chapter and the last 25%, Will just alienated me so much.To Julia’s death and the months inbetween… Until the final moments they finally get to BE TOGETHER …. After all, we know the story of Slammed already and we had previously heard Will’s voice in Point of Retreat so we knew what to expect from him.

But then, right at the scene in Slammed where Lake agrees to go out with Nick, we get a sneak peek at Will's thoughts while he bears witness to the conversation between Lake and Eddie. If this will make fans of Slammed as a whole (like me) happy as an addition to an already perfect duet of books, is a good point of discussion, I think. In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared and no memory forgotten, but Holder's past remains a mystery. The dialogue was just amazing, the kids… Kel and Caulder were butterflying perfect, and the poetry my God, the POETRY was BRILLANT.

Will had his own story, and added his own flair to their lives and how he endured certain situations.

From the New York Times bestselling author of It Ends With Us, Colleen Hoover’s bestselling Slammed series comes to its gripping conclusion. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. I’ve loved you since the second I laid eyes on you and I haven’t stopped loving you for a second since.so you know you’re going to love them and you know from this authors writing style that this book is going to have heart…. The two feel an irresistible attraction but are rocked to the core when a shocking revelation brings their romance to a screeching halt. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final instalment of the beloved Slammed series. Everything was just so emotionally charged – the flirting, the introduction, the crushing, the chemistry, the sheer, raw, passionate intensity that just rolled off the page.

The character development that was so evident in her first book was lost in this book - Layken's character came across as a pathetic little bitch who needs to get over the fact that her husband went on one date. We mainly use Royal Mail Tracked 48 Service for goods which weight less then 2kg, all other goods will be delivered by a Courier.Which was why when I heard that her next book was going to be Will's POV from Slammed I was quite a bit wary. Okay, so maybe objectophilia is a bit of an overkill, but it is completely safe to say that I have developed an intense fixation, a "pronounced emotional desire and strong feelings of love" for this amazing series. The ones where you’re transported back in time to a moment you want to relive because it left a mark on you.
