About this deal

The brightest emission nebulae, like the Lagoon (M8) and Orion Nebula (M42), look good provided you can escape the worst light pollution conditions, though they pale in comparison to the views through a larger instrument under dark skies. The included 4mm eyepiece provides the normal image of the telescope (inverted as it is natural in an astrological-astron monitoring). I would recommend getting a decent 32mm eyepiece, the lower power will open up so many more objects that the telescope is suitable for. As such, using it is extremely frustrating at even fairly low magnifications, as you will either overshoot your target or watch it slowly drift out of view as the scope droops in altitude. Get ready for a night of astroimaging with your mount faster than previously thought possible with All-Star Polar Alignment.

Unfortunately, this lack of fine adjustment controls makes it unsuitable for telescopes designed primarily for viewing the Moon and planets like the AstroMaster LT 76AZ. It is a good idea to get some idea of how to orient yourself in the night sky by first reading some books on the subject. The telescope is very good; on the first outing my 10 year old son identified Jupiter, and it was quite amazing actually seeing the bands around it. There is also a three times Barlow lens which can be used with any of the eyepieces to increase their magnification. Powerseeker Telescopes are available in a range of designs including Refractor Telescopes and Newtonian Reflector Telescopes covering a good range of budgets and offering good magnifications enabling you to take your first steps to observing the night sky. This innovative software solves the time-consuming problem of trying to pinpoint the North Celestial Pole. You can see the phases of Venus and Mercury – though the latter can prove challenging – as well as the polar ice caps and possibly a couple of dark markings on Mars when the planet reaches its closest distance to Earth.

if its small then as has been suggested a 32mm plossl eyepiece would be good, you could also try it with the barlow? Although this finder is great, the bracket used to attach it to the telescope is not very stiff and can become deformed or warped over time. All PowerSeekers come with a full range of eyepieces plus a 3x Barlow lens, allowing an increase in viewing power hundreds of times greater than that of an unaided eye. The Celestron Powerseeker line of telescopes is affordable, and therefore perfect for stargazers new to astronomy. In addition to all this, why not use the included smartphone adapter and capture great images with your astronomy telescope.Any scope in the Celestron Powerseeker or Celestron Astromaster range with a Manual German Equatorial Mount can use a Motor Drive, the Celestron motor drive can be purchase separately if required. Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). This telescope in an excellent choice for children, but young people of over 10 years of age and adults will definitely get more pleasure out of a Newtonian telescope such as the Omegon 114/900 EQ-1. A range of apertures are available in the Celestron Powerseeker range to cater for different budgets and types of Celestial viewing, the current Powerseeker range includes 50mm aperture entry level telescopes such as the Celestron Powerseeker 50AZ Refractor, Altazimuth Mounted Telescope, through to 127mm Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ Telescope with Equatorial Mount, controlled using slow motion control knobs.

The Celestron Powerseeker range includes the two major telescope mount types: Equatorial mount and Altazimuth Mount. For breathtaking views of brighter deep space objects like galaxies and nebulae, we recommend the larger aperture and light-gathering ability of the Newtonian Reflector. A good newbie telescope, good quality, easy set up with the only real difficulty being setting up the view finger telescope as it has 3 pins holding it in place but only takes a slight knock to put it way out of allignment. This makes the Celestron PowerSeeker 127EQ Telescope a good choice for beginners to Astronomy and represents great value for money.
