Overall this drone has a lot to offer a creator on a budget, or someone looking for a toy which won’t just be abandoned after the first use. The weight of the HS720E will be a problem for some who don’t wish to register, or want to operate near people, but it does seem to give it a sure-footedness one it climbs above the trees which not all budget drones offer. Take Epic Shots You Love The HS720E has 4K pixels capturing consistent details and color as the original scenery show. Once the start-up experience has been worked through a few times, it becomes easy to use and the controller and software make for handy visual feedback (though we could live without some of the beeps).There are also other automated shooting modes available, including point of interest that’ll circle around a point of interest 10m away for a cool spiral-esque shot, and a Follow Me mode. The video bitrate isn’t listed by the manufacturer, but I suspect it to be less than the likes of the 4K-enabled DJI Mini 2 and its 100Mbps MP4. After the release of the HS720, Holy Stone upgraded the drone with the HS720E [also known as HS105]. After we’d worked our way though calibration (we thought) and got flying we had a surprise – the default ‘Slow mode’ didn’t seem to give us enough influence to control the drone.
