Well, that's something you need not worry about with the MX5, as you can adjust setting with ease using just your feet!
Now, in keeping with the current trend of squeezing quarts of software into pint‑sized housings, we also have the HeadRush MX5, a super‑compact amp and effects modeller that contains all the software power (if not all of the facilities) of its larger modelling stablemates. For example, if you assign a wah pedal to Expression Pedal A and a volume pedal to Expression Pedal B, only one of them will be active at any time; when you are controlling the wah pedal, the volume pedal will be bypassed, and vice versa. There’s also a curated selection of premium HeadRush FX that will continue to expand with regular firmware updates that add new models and features based on user requests and feedback.
But it’s hard to see how the brand – which alongside the likes of Akai and M-Audio is part of the inMusic group – could have fit more features in it. The powerful Scenes feature enables you to turn multiple models on or off in each rig, as well as select different model presets using only one footswitch. Out the box, the HeadRush MX5 includes over 300 precision-captured impulse responses, meticulously crafted in IoSR Studios with some of the world’s most revered guitar cabs. The BOSS ME series has been a favourite of performing guitarists for over three decades, combining multi-effects power with intuitive hands-on control for crafting tones in seconds. Like the Gigboard and the Pedalboard, the new MX5 features 46 amplifier models, 15 cabinet models (each with 10 microphone emulations), 300 impulse responses, and 63 modelled effects.Gapless preset-switching is an exclusive feature on the HeadRush MX5 and means that any reverb or delay-tails will continue to ring out, even after changing your preset or rig. When you press the footswitch assigned to that scene, all models included in that scene will turn on or off, or change to a different preset depending on how you assign them. When it comes to moving between and around your rigs, the MX5 has inherited the larger Pedalboard’s single‑press footswitch modes, Stomp, Rig and Hybrid, along with their longer‑press variants, Hands‑Free, Setlist and Touchscreen Lock/Unlock.
