Seems to even give me a red irritation to skin where my palm rest in contact with mostly a palm grip on my ZA12. I bought it 3 years ago and i use it heavily, i wash it once or twice a year and it didn't lost it's glide. ARTISAN uses a material with zero hygroscopicity / sweat absorption on the sliding surface, so it does not affect the operability of the mouse even when playing for a long time.

But seeing as there's still no announcement or further hint, it could very well get released later than earlier. Hien really has a nice balance and I see myself enjoying the Mid Hien even more, but will wait for their XL sizes.Starting with bottom of pad upon turning it over its made of high quality, dense soft rubber that's evenly cut and is consistent across the entire foundation.

The Artisan Hien comes direct from Artisan based in Tokyo Japan in a thick padded, brown manila envelope, with big bold red words that say "please do not bend or fold". I arm aim and i'm kinda fast with it even tho my sens is considered slow its already "fast" for me with aqua control +. Otsu is soft to the touch, though not as soft as one thinks of a soft pad in 'feel' you get from it.

The backing for me only works really well when the static is there or when there is moisture after cleaning. After six days of using it daily with my ZA12 I had no issue and nothing to get used to after the Hien.

In terms of mouse movement on top, the pad is much faster than my QCK+ but has more control because of the high amount of friction it gives off. Stable mouse movement with the same fast initial movement and parallel movement sensation as Hayate. I wonder if they can fix that by making the pattern have more spacing or increase the size of the shape on the backing. In fact, various gliding surface types have been chosen without the popularity being concentrated on a particular gliding surface type. From the point of laying it down, feeling the texture, quality of rubber base, sensor response and over all using it.
