Having only sampled SMW long time ago I struggle to remember the finer nuances, but overall it's close to my memory. I tried gaslighting myself into liking it, as I really wanted to, but after a couple days of applying it, I knew it wasn’t just me when friends found the scent to be unpleasant as well. I can imagine how potent this will be in cool-summer weather or late spring when the floral notes can really standout and the freshness will last easily past 8hrs. It's also worth mentioning that as per the name (sillage) this fragrance is intended to leave a scent in the room, rather than only being smelt within a couple metres of you.

Sillage is a very good performer and when I first wore it I got a headache as I put too much on thinking it wouldn’t perform well as we all know SMW doesn’t. I don't know if I just got a bad batch or what, but the opening of this is nauseating to me and I just don't understand how this rates as high as it does. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. Minus this implementation of amber, or with a labdanum/benzoin amber instead, I would absolutely love this fragrance. Shortly after Jasmine opens up giving the clean white floral note, afterwards inviting the star of the show - Blackcurrant.Personally my nose gets only the florals and the musk so it's weird to hear about a synthetic citrus opening. I can definitely understand the comparisons between this and lemon scented cleaner or insect repellent.

At the beginning, you’ll definitely get a bad blend where it starts off super citrusy and drys down to an overwhelming inky smell. If you dislike the jasmine note just as I do but you want to feel clean, look after fragrances with Neroli. In fact, I imagine seeing a river somewhere in the mountains, inhaling that freshness and noticing the flowers growing along the banks as well.I sprayed this on a tester paper yesterday at 6pm and 12 hours later, the scent still creates a scent bubble around my desk. UPDATE: Still on the side where I consider this a Twist, not necessarily a clone due to prominent ambroxan.

To be honest, I didn't have a lot of expectations with this fragrance from Armaf, to be frank, Craze was pretty good, but I wasn't a fan of CDNI (compared to the real deal) at all, especially of the opening. And the ambroxan keeps the scent and the citric profile going for hours upon hours without weakening.Opens with a tart fruitiness (more black currant than citrus although the bergamot does come through). Overall I do enjoy the fragrance and I think I'll just make it my blind reach for if I'm just running out somewhere. I persinally am missing a bite here- something more rooty, slightly spicy or smoky to give more character and a "kick". Lasts about 6 hours and projects decent but it is incredibly metallic and synthetic smelling and the top notes are so harsh I wish I could skip them.
