About this deal

In Mistborn, the local god Harmony has taken a bit of a special interest in Wax (if you have to ask who Wax is, I suggest you read The Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self first), using him to achieve Harmony's agenda. I don’t want to spoil stuff, so there can’t be much more in regards to plot, but I will tell you that there are fabulous action and fight scenes, great dialogue and as I mentioned, Steris is just the coolest! Cosmere/Big Picture: Not to delve too deeply into plot developments, but in this book we are beginning to see the Cosmere books start to get more closely linked together.

I can honestly say it's only getting better, and all my so-so feelings about the last two have evaporated like mist. Wayne hunts down and seemingly kills Telsin as she tries to slip away, but later Wax discovers her body is missing and that she has escaped. But on a more personal level their conversation really brings out some of Wax's deeply held troubles with a deep compassion and understanding. As always Sanderson delivers compelling characters, a fascinating, twisty-turny story, SHOCKING REVELATIONS (™), and just as many (new, amazing, jaw dropping, life changing) questions as answers.

And then this book came around, and after what I thought was a tiny rough beginning, I was delighted to see just how much I loved Wayne's sequence. And in the vein of this era's Mistborn books thus far, this is a fast-paced story with some really cool action scenes. At New Seran, Wax attends a party held by prominent noblewoman Lady Kelesina Shores, after acquiring a strange coin and partially uncovering a conspiracy Kelesina is involved in. Wax must choose whether to set aside his rocky relationship with God and once again become the Sword that Harmony has groomed him to be. The Bands of Mourning consists of thirty-one chapters, one prologue, and one epilogue, reaching a total 127,456 word count.

Por ejemplo, una de las subtramas explora cómo Marasi, al igual que la mayoría de las mujeres de Scadrial, se siente viviendo a la sombra de Vin, que fue una mujer tremendamente poderosa.

Instead God/gods are often very, very, VERY powerful entities with access to more knowledge and power than any mortal could hope to achieve. I stand by everything I wrote in my original review, especially about not being able to what for The Lost Metal. No sólo veo que la era 1 y la era 2 de Mistborn van a confluir en The Lost Metal, sino que tarde o temprano los mundos del Cosmere empezarán a confluir también. Shadows of Self shows Mistborn’s society evolving as technology and magic mix, the economy grows, democracy contends with corruption, and religion becomes a growing cultural force, with four faiths competing for converts. Not hat anyone should be surprised by this, this is Bandon Sanderson we are talking about here writing in arguably his most popular series.

She knows she isn't the most useful person in a fight but she plays to her own strengths as the situation warrants. Behind her stoic appearance and general aura of nonchalance is a woman who is slightly obsessive to a fault; however, she is also fiercely loyal to her friends and family.Mistborn: The Bands of Mourning is a high fantasy novel written by American author Brandon Sanderson. The magic system is perfectly detailed, the world, though not completely revealed, has a great sense of natural logic to it, and the characters are a reflection of both. Wax, Wayne, and Marasi have been pivotal in Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self, and they undoubtedly developed so much in The Bands of Mourning, well, maybe not too much for Wayne; he's still mostly the same. All the other characters had their moments to shine, especially Marasi who has been dealing with her identity in the shadow (rightly or wrongly) of Wax.

The different metals are interwoven into the Bands of Mourning in wavy patterns, not unlike the folds of a pattern welded blade.Previous two books were amazing and they blew me away, but this book blew me away on a completely new level. At the beginning of this book he is still raw and hurt from the things he had to endure and it was beautiful to see him slowly heal those wounds. Wayne and his crazy sense of morality, it finally paid off here, I love his loyalty to Wax is unquestionable, I hope he forgive himself in the next book for what he did in the past. Logra, de una manera brillante e inexplicable, mezclar acción épica, comedia desternillante, romance apasionante, misterio, religión, misticismo y fantasía y engancharte en todas y cada una de las páginas, obligándote a no soltar el libro hasta alcanzar el final.
