Choosing your power source: 240v tools are used with normal mains power whilst 110v tools are used on construction sites for safety reasons. The Makita 9911 Belt Sander has a compact design but still offers the highest capacity of sanding and dust collection among the same class sanders. It's easy to change the belts simply by pulling the lever on the side which releases the tension in the rollers.The Makita 9911 is a single speed variable belt sander takes a belt size of 75mm x 457mm giving you a sanding area of approximately 75mm x 215mm, this sander features Makita's auto tracking system, this means that the belt requires no adjustment or alignment when fitting replacement belts. I bought this sander mainly for levelling my bathroom floor prior to laying vinyl flooring, although I'll no doubt be using it for many other jobs around the house later. The 9911-110V Makita Sander is fitted with automatic belt adjustment requiring no adjustment after installing the belt plus low noise levels at only 82dB for quieter operation.
