In terms of the aerosol type canisters - these are used for specific burners and can be a very neat all in one solution. Like the previous adapter, these adapters are manufactured from brass, various alloys and plastic, with little in the way of moving parts. Most camping stoves are just compatible with screw-on canisters and some are just compatible with Easy-Clic canisters. They are an old and very simple design that just isn’t compatible with the more modern (and safer) alternatives. Regarding using the thin tall pure butane canisters, always check that your stove designed for propane/butane mixture works well with pure butane.One thing to note, when changing out the brass jet, the one from the new Coleman one started to strip the 7mm connection with a closed end 7mm wrench. Alternative adapters for these bottles are quite easily located as they are sold for those brazing and soldering with propane.
