About this deal

Unfortunately, though, this router doesn’t have any 10Gb LAN ports, which means some users may want to upgrade once PCs and other hardwired devices start having built-in 10Gb LAN ports themselves. I tested it beside the TP-Link Archer AXE75 with many high-end specs, but the performance was superior.

I have 2 computers that are pretty far and I want to use fiber to them with SFP+, so I need at least 3 SFP+ ports, one for WAN and 2 for the other computers. With the QuRouter OS, not only can users efficiently manage all connected wired and wireless devices in real-time, but they can also configure the firewall, VPN, security and QuWAN advanced functions. As expected, speeds dropped off quickly at 45 feet, with the router managing to move 641 Mbps and 410 Mbps, respectively, for downloads and uploads. I’ve been to Japan, one of my fav places in Asia, and I can tell you that there’s a lot of stuff coming from there that we don’t see coming.

Thats a result of a political government decision in the 90’ that everyone should have broadband to their home. Our mission is to make existing Internet technologies faster, more powerful and affordable to wider range of users. Thank you for the tip, I agree, I’ll go with 6000, may be the 16000 is overkill now in my environment, but you know, we’re IT enthusiast and we’re “tempted”! RB5009 also has a better switch chip with full L2 hw offload support for VLAN filtering, (R)STP, IGMP and DHCP snooping allowing for full wire speed bridging among all 8 ether ports.

Installed in the farthest corner of the basement of my 3,700 Sq Ft house, the router showed great penetration ability as it managed to encase two of my three floors. Considering that this router can still support multi-gig wireless speeds with other WiFi 6 devices, it is still no slouch on speed. and for those who wonder, as with any residential connection it's only "guaranteed" to the gateway everything else is best effort.

If I were an apartment building owner and wanted to provide multi-gigabit to the whole building, I'd definitely consider it, but then I'd be spreading the equipment cost around multiple tenants etc. If you have a 10G connection coming into a switch/router that can handle only 1G it's a huge bottleneck that will cause a lot of congestion and delay. I have a QNAP 2104-2T multi-gig switch to connect to the satellite nodes and the satellite speed is at full throttle (930 Mb) for a 1GB WAN .

Haven't achieved that in our lab testing so far (unless on solid core cables which would be surprize me to be found in a consumer patching). There comes a point where the selection of wifi routers with more than one multigig port is so slim that it makes sense to start looking at separate wired/wireless setups. Finally, it managed to hold signals at 70 feet, raking a maximum download speed of 321 Mbps, making way for casual games. Two 10GE SFP+ Ports: 1× WAN and 1× WAN/LAN 10GE SFP+ ports provide high-bandwidth aggregation connectivity. Gbps of download and upload speeds, alongside 4-5ms ping and 120+ FPS, irrespective of the game you’re playing.
