It is different smelling, but it's not *great* smelling in general and I don't think it will wow anyone. Dries to a very typical "cologne" smell which you've likely smelled some derivative of this numerous times; which doesn't make it any less effective. Although the most ingredients are probably synthetic, this scent stays throughout the time it lasts on the skin (which is after all 5-7 h on my skin) perfectly balanced - every second it gives you an incredible feeling of warmth, depth, freshness and concinnity. It is in the dry down that you will probably notice how different this is compared to all other similar fragrances. For light intensity: spray in a cloud around your head and shoulders, let the fragrance fall gently around you. Again this is another one in my collection that I can recommend for those who only want to have one cologne for all purpose(just like I used to).The first time Just Different superficially resembles Bleu de Chanel, due to the mint, patchouli and labdanum but of course if you use it a lot of times you will realize that both are completely different. Hugo Just Different opens up with mint and granny smith apple then moves onto a blend of basil, freesia and coriander then finishes off with cashmeran, musk and patchouli to create this woody spicy aroma. Someone at the gym today had this on, when I finally narrowed it down to one dude I asked him and he told me this is it. The blast of peppermint and apple in the beginning can be off-putting, sometimes it reminds me of toothpaste. You may not think they are suitable to give as a gift, but they are perfect for your personal use (or perhaps for non-discerning family and friends).

I love the bottles but don't generally use my Hugo's (original and Red) too often so a small size would do.Projection/Sillage: GOOD projection, noticeable and good 'scent bubble' initially for about 2-3 hours then remains an in-close fragrance. Strong mint and apple, almost overwhelmingly so (as another user noted) at first, but then it transitions into a green note and the basil and coriander really start to show. It is characterized by the unexpected fusion of different ingredients, combining fresh coolness with soft, underlying warmth. Hugo Just Different is a new fragrance by Hugo Boss for 2011, a new edition of the one of the most popular men's fragrance Hugo from 1995. What makes this scent so "different" from others it not so much the idea behind it, but much more the WAY HOW it is done: The opening is fresh and spicy and probably the most unique part of the whole scent, but after that you could argue that it descends to a somewhat fresh/woody/balmy standard scent for a young, elegant urban dweller - but still there is something that makes this perfume so special: the quality.

It does become a touch herbaceous, particularly near the heart, where the basil plays an important role, adding a sense of complexity to the already green and fruity opening. As others have said, if you want a quick daytime reach that could be good in any situation, you could do worse than this. la cosa che mi piace è che il cambiamento è abbastanza evidente, proprio come era nell'intenzione della casa produttrice, qualcosa di diverso e creativo. But this is where I come in to show my love for their line, some people try too hard to look for a fragrance that stands out way too much and is so complex and different, and in turn doesn't even grab attention from the public.
