According to the entertaining and informed commentary, those shocking scenes inspired Cronenberg's Videodrome.Wild to go from Jaeckin’s very classy Emmanuelle to this, which ditches the veneer of literary respectability and traditional narrative in favor of something much closer to that of an outright sex film, using Emanuelle's 'investigations' as the basis for a series of vignettes, only replacing the cumshots with shock after shock after shock. Planning to investigate billionaire Van Darren, Emanuelle visits a boxing gymnasium, where Joe, a former fighter turned trainer after being replaced as Van Darren's bodyguard, provides her with false papers. Vacationing in an island with Bill, Emanuelle gets caught by a native tribe and is to become the local chieftain's twelfth wife. Alone with Van Darren, Emanuelle ridicules him for his power-centered and money-centered approach to sex. Globetrotting from one sexy rendezvous after another, robing and disrobing as needed, while snapping her naughty little photos along the way.

The snuff footage is extremely nasty and difficult to watch and again plays to an audience looking for sexual arousal. Apart from having the name Emmanuelle in the title, this film has got nothing to do with the original Sylvia Kristel Emmanuelle films. This is probably about as extreme as exploitation gets (even when compared to such gory masterpieces as Nekromantik and Cannibal Holocaust). The infamous scene of a naked girl masterbating a horse is shown for the purposes of titillation and arousal. This movie is definitely unlike anything I’ve ever seen before and for that very reason, it gets my vote.

I think my favorite scene was when some lady decides to put flowers in some guys pubes to decorate that dick. Lastly, the always enjoyable Mondo Macabro highlight reel of upcoming and currently-available product finish off the extras. If you are offended quiet easy then stay away from this but if you are like me and have titles in your collection like Thriller - a Cruel Picture and Ms 45, August underground's Mordum and Sinful Dwarf (xxx) version then this is for you i won't tell you anything you just need to see it. That there is a lot of nudity should come as no surprise for a D'Amato film but the first scenes are brief soft core stuff but by the end the sex scenes are hard core with a subplot about snuff movies (which goes nowhere) thrown in; and the less said about the horse scene, the better.
