I have let it settle an hour or two now, and it is starting to smell less flowery and the woods are starting to come through and I started to like it more. Due to the huge number of ingredients in Beloved I can foresee this fragrance working very differently on others, however I feel on my self the cumin came out too much albeit it was tamed by the other notes and the sweetness was too tenacious and eventually was quite overwhelming.

Amouage Beloved is for a man who doesn't have to prove anything to anybody Because he simply knows he is great just the way he is.I tried several masculine offerings from Amouage and, I think, for all of them I liked their feminine counterpart more. Once a perfume enthusiastic guy noticed it and complemented me on that and he was a polite enough that he didn't ask me what was it and he made it his next challenge to discover it by himself. As it begins to dry on the skin a beautiful saffron note, highlighted by patchouli, jasmine and geranium is revealed. I simply cannot fathom what he’s experiencing with Beloved that makes him think it is unique enough to light up his life or to remember a special occasion forever. Keep in mind that though Chong seems to have driven the brand away from its Oman root, before he came around the brand had already released scents like Ciel, Silver, and Arcus.

Beloved Man opens in a zesty spicy manner with some Grapefruit and an amazingly naturally refreshing note of Cedarwood. As a whole, though, Beloved is a seamless blend of the two faces of elemi, and the fragrance’s main characteristic for a good portion of its opening hours is creaminess. As a whole, I find the perfume to be a well-balanced, easy, uncomplicated fragrance that is very enjoyable as a tame, extremely safe, very basic, approachable Amouage.It's really a pity for I love the Elemi note in Amouage's LIBRARY Collection IV, the one that was created for World AIDS day 2011. This accord gives it a bit of an amorous feel, proving that the word “beloved” fits many circumstances.

The beautiful rich Jasmine just like it's brother Reflection,equally regal and equally sophisticated. Beloved Man deftly channels many others fragrances old and new into the fold through its development while never quite approaching dangerous "clone" territory. This is best in fall or winter for daytime office or night time formal use but can hang loose in any context if you're dressed in khakis and a polo like you're showing up for a job fair.

not in the same vein but if you really dig those you are almost guaranteed to think Beloved is insanely good. All in all a very balanced perfume, the ingredients harmonize perfectly, the base of patchouli, vetiver, saffron likes. When Amouage released Beloved in 2012 (still haven’t tried it) many followers of the brand were surprised that it was released solo, since Amouage has a tendency to present their perfume in duets built of male and female fragrance of the same name. As the fragrance dries down late the Declaration vibe completely goes away as Beloved Man turns relatively woody, and my enjoyment and overall interest level increased substantially with the change.
