In December 2022, Minelab announced a new metal detector expected to appear simultaneously with Minelab Manticore. And rather unexpectedly, these were Minelab Equinox 700 and Minelab Equinox 900. New Minelab Equinox 700 and Minelab Equinox 900 continue the product line with a basic technology Multi-IQ (multifrequency metal detectors). The market launch of the new Equinox version is expected in the first half of 2023. Metal Detector Purpose This is the perfect metal detector for someone who is new to the hobby and wants an amazing first machine, or for someone who has been using a good detector for a while and is looking for the next level! If you are currently an 800 user, you will love the improvements in the Equinox 900. It comes with the new Minelab scorpionarm rest, which was recently announced on the Manticore, the new Flagship coin and treasure machine. The new arm rest is more comfortable, durable and is simple to adjust, improving the detectorists experience. Recovery Speed and Iron Bias controls how your detector responds to multiple signals: from minimising your chances of digging iron to sniffing out gold and treasures hiding within the trashiest ground and everything in between. Multi IQ analyses on multiple frequencies and uses clever algorithms to sniff out the good targets, even in the worse conditions.

Minelab has done its best and even more to get higher sales than Nokta Makro Legend. But just because Nokta Makro Legend offers the same, but for a lower price, the sales drop. Minelab should renew the product line, get their customers interested, and, this way, make them share their money. About 2 years after the Equinox was released by Minelab, CoilTek came out with 3 alternative coils for the Equinox 600 and 800. I wrote up an article about those 3 coils but will they work with the 900? The theory is yes but until CoilTek or Minelab confirms, we are surely speculating at this point. I really hope they do because I feel as though the 10×5 coil paired up with the 800 was a magical combination. What Are Your Thoughts About The Equinox 700 and 900?
