About this deal

Great for mini ramp and bowl skating but not so much for hardcore street skaters. The only ‘Super’ perk is that they are super expensive and hardcore skates need to replace them super fast. Tolerance: The tolerance of longboard bearings refers to the precision in the manufacturing process, ensuring consistent dimensions and smooth operation. Bearings with tighter tolerances are generally more precise and offer improved performance. Higher tolerance bearings require more precise manufacturing techniques and quality control, which can contribute to their higher cost. For you cruisers out there, go with Zealous. They might require some time to break in, but they just keep going when you do. Zealous beatings come with built-in spacers and some kind of magic grease. Turns out, the grease is different from regular skateboard bearings. At first these bearings will feel a bit sluggish, but after a few days I felt a difference. I had to push less and rolled for a longer period of time. Pretty cool!

Bearings. You probably know what they are but don't know everything about them, so today we will be explaining how they work, how to clean them, dispelling myths about them, and more. Let's start with how they work. This diagram will help understand them There is hardly any speed difference, most skateboard bearings won’t make you go faster. What matters the most is the size and hardness of your wheels combined with the surface you ride. The esKape Bearings guarantees to deliver you the product that makes your longboarding professional and high class. The G2 bearings are some of the finest low-cost skateboard bearings on the market, with top-tier performance. It has a straight edge and frictionless shields that pop off to keep oil in and moisture out, while its line surface improves bearing lubrication and increases roll speed.

Skateboard bearings allow your wheels to spin. You need 2 bearings for each wheel and preferably a spacer in between. Skateboard bearings are universal, if they are the industrial standard of ‘608’ they will fit. Skateboard bearings have the following specifications: Ceramic bearings are partially waterproof, ceramic doesn’t rust but the metal cage will rust. Skateboard Bearings and Speed These bearings let your board cover an increased distance without getting you tired of pushing it continuously. However, Loaded recently sent me some Jehu bearings to review and I am loving them. They are built-in bearings are really convenient to use. I don’t feel much of a performance difference, but I am still in the process of testing them. If you’re looking to skate fast, wheel choice matters most Skate Rated for better performance than any ABEC rated bearings; lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects

Do steel bearings last longer than ceramic? A steel bearing, as mentioned, can have its life shortened because of its exposure to water and moisture. But it handles vertical forces better than ceramic. Zealous bearings are some of the best in the business. They are built-in, meaning they come with both the spacers and speed rings. They are one solid unit and you aren’t at risk of losing any bits and pieces. From time to time, you need to lubricate bearings for optimum performance, so we recommend that you buy bearings that are simple to install. There are two good lube options in the market to choose from; the nano-ceramic lube and the great speed cream. Spacers But, if industrial bearings are so precise, why don’t they make a difference for skating? Industrial bearings actually do have high precision and small tolerances, are they better for skating? Yes, the bearing lube you use might make a small difference, but otherwise, most skate bearings will perform about the same when it comes to rolling. This is simply because of our application of them and especially because of the price we pay for them. Though that doesn’t necessarily mean a higher price means better performance …

I like to clean about once a year or a few times a year for wheels that are always used but since I have 12 (I think maybe more) sets of bearings I don't really do that and when they get bad I'll normally clean them 2 times a year. If you rainskate clean them when they dont roll then so yeah. Durability: Longboard bearings need to withstand the demands of various riding conditions, including rough surfaces, impacts, and exposure to dirt and moisture. Bearings with better durability are typically constructed using high-quality materials that can resist wear, corrosion, and deformation over time. Bearings with enhanced durability often come with a higher price tag because they are engineered to withstand more rigorous use and last longer. I used them on a Dinghy and Pilsner cruiser and they are a blast. We’ve (my friend and I) been riding these in the rain and then stored them for about 6 months. Skating conditions– As mentioned, steel bearings are vulnerable when ridden during rainy weather. Also, they have overheating tendencies. So, we should also consider these aspects. Remove the shields, and we will find the balls and retainers. The balls are tiny spheres that run inside the bearing. But they don’t spin irregularly.

Store Properly: When you’re not using your longboard, store it in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture or humidity from affecting the bearings. Avoid leaving your board in extreme temperature conditions, as it can impact bearing performance. It has a straight edge, friction-less shields that are pop-off resistant to hold in oil and keep moisture out, while its linear micro-groove surface improves bearing lubrication and increases roll speed. What we really love about SS6 is that it has been equipped with rubber shields to enable faster and better cleaning. You do need clean bearings. If they're rusted or full of dirt, they will ruin your setup, but beyond that bearings DON'T MATTER. Expensive bearings are just snake oil; they don't make you any faster, nor are they necessarily more durable. The "roll test" is not indicative of how your bearings will perform under load (the roll test consisting of spinning your wheels by hand and seeing how long they roll). The only thing the roll test will identify is a bearing or bearings that are shot. Ceramic bearings are snake oil; while the ceramic balls won't rust, the rest of the bearing will, essentially negating the supposed benefit.

How we define ceramic and steel bearings is mainly about their primary materials. And yet, there’s more to that. Let’s learn more about these wheel cores through their salient differences. 1. Moisture resistance Some lubricants are designed to operate optimally at higher temperatures. This means they will offer less resistance and roll faster at those temperatures. This can’t be simulated by simply spinning the wheel. All Bones bearings come with a warranty and, if the consumer is not pleased with their product, they can be replaced without any problems. High-Quality Engineering Longboard bearings play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, swift, and enjoyable ride. With the wide range of options available, it’s important to consider factors such as material, ABEC rating, and budget when choosing the right bearings for your longboard. Zealous may feel a little slow to start, but they improve as you skate them, and they’re on the setups of some of the fastest longboarders in the world. They’re also more water resistant than most other bearings, meaning you won’t have to fear a wet patch or a little splashing as much as you might with other bearings. Though, if they’re completely submerged, I still do recommend drying them off when you get home, and cleaning them, if you can. Even ceramic bearings have parts that can corrode and seize up.
