Our recently developed three and four bedroom holiday lodges have quickly become some of the best self catering accommodation in Croyde and North Devon. Croyde is mentioned in the Domesday Book as Crideholde / Crideholda: Erchenbald from Robert, Count of Mortain.

From Monday to Saturday, there is an hourly bus service to Croyde from Barnstaple, with a two-hour frequency on Sundays. Great lodges to stay in we had a 3 bedroom Lodge, the double bedroom had an en-suite with TV In bedroom and the other two bedrooms had 2x single beds in, they all have plenty of wardrobes and draws for clothing and bedside cabinets. There is a reef break at the northern (Baggy Point) end of the beach that works for about 60 minutes during some high tides. The footpath to the beach takes about 10 minutes to walk from here and is flat all the way, though can get muddy after the rain. I know there will be no dogs on the beach until 1 Oct but is there anyway we could set up camping chairs picnic etc as close to the beach as possible.Baggy Point is a fantastic walk along clifftops and will reward you with stunning views over Croyde Bay. Very strong and potentially damaging winds associated with Storm Ciarán are likely late Wednesday onwards into Thursday. There is also an entrance via steps at the south end of the beach, it's a steep climb if you're not mobile but very easy for the able bodied.
