About this deal
You must actually be able to move, though, to qualify, so no hoarding Ruin tokens and hoping for the best. In Deep Sea Adventure, you and your up-to-five coplayers are adventuring … in the deep sea (as you’d expect), looking for a variety of treasures in the ruins to become the richest.
The interesting thing about it is that it plays fairly similarly with large numbers of people because you can move further with more players (since there are more people you can skip over) even though the air runs out faster, as you need fewer turns to go deep into the depths.I've also checked out Cubitos, which looks fun and I'd love to play it, but seems quite big for what I was looking for. Turn Back; When you turn back is perhaps the most important moment in the game – grab the first treasure as you turn back, and then start to rush towards the submarine.
Every game of Deep Sea Adventure we have played has been exciting, captivating, and definitely tense! As you go further and deeper, the treasure gets more lucrative, but you have to lug it back up to the sub before the oxygen runs out or you don’t get any points at all. Deep Sea Adventure’s box is jam packed with cardboard and wooden bits that you’ll set up in a semi-freeform manner (no “board” in this board game). The player interactivity is very high and may leave some players feeling upset when they don’t get to achieve the goal.
Game contents : 48 Artefact Chips, 6 Explorer Pieces, 1 Submarine Board, 1 Air Marker and and instructions. To get the nautical theme (partially) we even took this on our first cruise last year and attracted some passersby.
