About this deal

For ultra wide-angle photography needs on DX sensors, a better choice would be the Nikon 12-24mm f/4G DX or Nikon 10-24mm f/3. Unlike some rivals, Nikon doesn't include a filter template, but dimensions are shown in the product manual. Also back in the day there were no lenses this wide, and even if there were in other formats, they certainly weren't f/2. The correct way to use an ultrawide is to jam it into whatever you are photographing, which effectively rubs the viewer's nose in your subject. The Lee Filters SW150 Mark II Adaptor Nikon 14-24mm Lens allows you to attach the Lee Filters SW150 Filter Holder to the Nikon 14-24mm lens.

S turns in a great performance across its zoom range in terms of detail, provided you're willing to stop down a bit. If you have shaky hands then it will no doubt come in handy, or at a push if you need a slower shutter speed in low light but don’t have a tripod to hand it will help to an extent. lens was designed for a variety of wide-angle photography needs – from landscape and architectural photography to fashion and press photography. The 14-24 mm focal length offers a versatile lens for landscapes, architecture and astrophotography and features a constant f2.I just used the lenses in every day situations to take photos I wanted to take, and so what you’re about to read are my thoughts after spending a week with these lenses shooting real subjects, then having got back to the UK and reviewed the images taken with both.

I wish I could combine the two, because although you can’t go wrong with either, they both have their own strengths and weaknesses. The rugged construction and professional-grade dust- and moisture resistance withstand even the most trying conditions. It works great on DX cameras, too, on which you may make the usual inferences - but the Z 16-50mm is a much more useful lens on the Z50.The Z 14-30mm f/4 is much smaller, lighter and more practical, taking normal filters, stopping down to f/22 and zooming to 30mm rather than just 24m and costing only half as much. I’ve read elsewhere that it is an excellent Astro lens, but no coma tests and mentioning a fast fall off in sharpness is worrisome. shorter, which is perhaps a little surprising given it has a removable hood, where the DSLR lens' hood was built-in. Ultrawides are for jamming into the face of an enraged wino brandishing a feces-covered broken bottle to exaggerate his crazed anger and his crude weapon. Three aspherical elements, including a large-diameter aspherical lens, control spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and accurate rendering.
